How it works

Screenshots, photos or scans, as many as you like. They are read straight off your disk by the page, the same way opening one in an image viewer reads it. Nothing is transmitted at any point.

US Letter or A4. Each image is scaled to fit its page whole — never cropped, never stretched — and centred on white, so a tall phone screenshot and a wide desktop capture end up the same size on paper.

Several screenshots in order, so the sequence is obvious to whoever opens it. A numbered set of loose PNGs is not the same thing.

A PDF prints predictably. A folder of images prints at whatever size each application decides, which is how a screenshot ends up spread over four sheets.
Questions
- Does the image quality drop?
- Each page is re-encoded as JPEG at high quality, so there is some compression. Quality is set to High by default, which draws each page at twice the resolution and makes a larger file; Standard draws it at the size of the page itself. For text-heavy screenshots the difference is usually invisible; for artwork you are archiving, keep the originals.
- Can I reorder the pages?
- Yes. Each image you choose appears in a list above the options, with buttons to move it up or down or remove it. Choosing more images adds them to the end of the list.
- Can I combine existing PDFs too?
- No, images only. Each page here is built from a picture, so a PDF you already have is not something this can take in. Merging PDFs is a genuinely different job and needs a tool built for it.
- Why is there white space around my screenshot?
- Because the image is fitted to the page whole rather than cropped to fill it. A phone screenshot is far taller than it is wide and a letter page is not, so something has to give — and losing the edges of a screenshot is usually worse than a white margin.
- Can I select text in the PDF?
- No. Each page is a picture of your image, so the text inside it is pixels rather than characters. Searching and selecting need OCR, which is a different job from this one.
- How large will the file be?
- Roughly the size of the images after JPEG compression, added together. A dozen screenshots usually lands in low single-digit megabytes; a long run of high-resolution photographs will be considerably more.
- How do I get landscape pages for wide images?
- Set Orientation to Match each image. Images wider than they are tall then get a landscape page and the others stay portrait, in the same order as the list. The page size you pick, Letter or A4, applies to both orientations.
- Can I add white margins?
- Yes. The Margin option leaves a small or medium white border around each image, about a quarter of an inch or half an inch. It is useful when the PDF will be printed, because printers often clip the outer edge of a page.
